Fire safety

The Fire Safety Regulations for Industrial Establishments were first published in 2004 and have been updated several times since then. Last year (2023) a draft of what will be the new regulation was published, we expect it to be published and come into force during 2024.

It is probably the most transversal regulation (together with the REBT) that exists, since it applies to any industrial establishment. It establishes mandatory minimum protection measures that vary considerably depending on different variables: type of building, size of the sector, fire load and use of the sector.

A thorough knowledge of these regulations and others that may be useful (NFPA, CEPREVEN) allows us to ensure a design in accordance with the minimum requirements, knowing how to make the most of the regulatory possibilities to optimize the investment.

In addition to regulatory requirements, more and more companies are investing in fire safety, either on their own initiative or because of insurance company requirements, in order to minimize risks and ensure business continuity in the event of a loss.
